Situation
The Atlanta Indian Film Festival needed branding that would honor the rich tradition of Indian cinema while appealing to Atlanta's diverse, cosmopolitan audience. Previous years had relied on generic festival templates that failed to capture the event's unique character.
Task
Develop a distinctive visual identity that celebrates Indian cinematic heritage, attracts both Indian diaspora and mainstream audiences, and scales effectively from digital marketing to large-format event signage.
Action
Cultural Research & Synthesis
We immersed ourselves in Indian cinema's visual history—from classic Bollywood poster art to contemporary independent film aesthetics. This research informed a design direction that felt authentically rooted yet fresh.

Dynamic Visual System
The identity centers on flowing, dance-inspired forms that suggest both film reels and classical Indian movement. A vibrant color palette draws from traditional textiles while maintaining modern accessibility.
